Created with meat in mind, our Apple Hickory Rub permeates meat and poultry with a hickory-smoke and apple wood flavor. Combined with special spices, this rub is perfect for pork and any other foods that are enhanced with a smoky spicy flavor, from brisket to baked beans.
Instructions: Sprinkle Fire Roasted™ Apple Hickory seasoning onto meat, pressing spices in. Allow 15–30 minutes for seasoning to penetrate (the longer the better). Cook or grill as desired. (Due to the nature of this product, some lumping may occur; simply break it apart with your fingers when sprinkling onto meats)
Grilling Tips:
- Always brush and lightly oil the grilling rack before putting meat on to keep meat from sticking and cracking, keeping the natural juices in.
- When using this blend on chicken with the skin-on, be sure to rub seasoning under the skin for a deeper flavor.
- Prepare a spray bottle with equal parts apple juice, soy sauce and cider vinegar. Use as a mist during cooking to enhance flavor and browning.
